What is Visa?

In short

The card network named in access terms to show how you reach and spend your money.

Visa is the card network that links a bank account to a payment card and to merchants that accept it. When a provider's access terms name Visa, it is telling you which card gives you access to the money and how that works in practice. CIBC Caribbean, for example, applies interest to savings and lets holders reach their funds with a Visa Classic Debit card. Demerara Bank offers on-demand access through a Visa debit card, ATMs and e-banking. So the card network, the card type and the access it comes with belong in your comparison.
